Oaklands Lodge may be exactly what you are looking for. We are a small owner-operated hostel in a quiet, (no through traffic), tree lined street on the slopes of Mt. Eden offering affordable accommodation for independent travellers. You will find us great value for your money as well as having a great time.

The Lodge is a large two storied house built in the late Victorian era. It has has been recently renovated and includes a large kitchen, separate dining room/games room, TV lounge as well as a garden BBQ area.
In our games room you can play games or music or just chat. If you just want to relax, we have a reading room, you can watch TV or sit out in the garden. You'll never be far from friends and family with STD phones, a fax service and the Internet available for sending and receiving Email.
Our office is open from 8.30am -1.00pm and 4.00pm to 8.30pm. We may be able to accommodate arrivals outside these times if you let us know when you making the booking. Our normal check in time is 12.00 noon but if you are arriving earlier than that we will do our best to have your room ready as quickly as possible.

amlosttrisha3851 from Wales stayed here on 24th June 2010 They got really slim lockers and there is no way my backpack or any suitcase for that matter could fit in it. It also didn't have a lock, they were starting to redo the lodge out, this should be done when lodge is closed for business. It disrupts you from using the kitchen and having a toilet and shower out of use. Other than that, it was an okay lodge to stay with. Especially to climb the mount eden crater, right on their doorstep :-D | Female
